Albéa speeds up 3D-printed mascara brushes

The partnership between Albéa and Erpro 3D Factory is fast-tracking customized development with its service Make 3D yours. Using 3D printing, Albéa is producing bespoke mascara brushes within one week, thus shortening the design-to-production process.

In line with its sustainable roadmap for 2020-2025, cosmetic packaging supplier Albéa is showcasing the time-saving aspect of 3D technology by creating customized mascara brushes within one week. “The design options are endless, making the mascara brush unique for the customer,” explains Laura Boroni, Market Manager Color Cosmetic Eyes at Albéa’s Bottanuco site. Albéa and Erpro are offering development packages through Erpro workshops where brands can experience the project first-hand, test samples and learn more about industrial 3D-printing technology.

Albéa plans to expand this offer to other product categories as well as sustainable solutions, such as the already available bio-based brushes.
