French niche brand BDK Parfums has unveiled Velvet Tonka, the fifth and most recent addition to its Collection Matières line of eaux de parfums.
Velvet Tonka is the latest launch from fragrance brand BDK Parfums, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year. The EdP, whose notes recall "oriental delicacies dusted with icing sugar" pays tribute to the Moroccan roots of brand founder David Benedek.
Like the brand’s other scents, Velvet Tonka is housed in a square-shaped bottle (Zignago Brosse) topped with a gold-colored zamak cap (Segede). The paper label with protective film (L’Atelier Darmon) wraps across two sides of the bottle and is printed and hot stamped gold.
The dusky pink box (MPO), made with Fedrigoni’s Sirio recyclable, bulk dyed paper, is also printed and hot stamped gold.
Velvet Tonka, a floral-amber scent created by Alexandra Carlin (Symrise), contains notes of tonka bean, orange blossom and almond.
The EdP launched in June, priced at €170 for 100ml.
