Champagne meets scent for Philipp Plein’s first women’s fragrance

Plein Fatale is the first women’s fragrance for Philipp Plein. The German luxury clothing brand found inspiration in Champagne bottles for the packaging design.

Beauty licensee Brands Beyond Beauty (Give Back Beauty) has launched the first women’s fragrance for German luxury clothing brand Philipp Plein. The Champagne bottle with its aluminum collar, archetypal label and classic punt inspired the packaging design. Dubbed Plein Fatale, the fragrance comes in a bespoke, curved flacon (Zignago Vetro Brosse). From its rounded base, the bottle takes on a hexagonal shape at the top in a nod to the brand's logo.

The zamak-weighted PP cap with PP inner (Maticplast) is metallized in matte gold. The PP top plate, meanwhile, is features a matte silver metallization.

Inspired by vintage boxes, Plein Fatale’s secondary packaging (Gpack) is made of Fedrigoni’s Arena White Smooth 350gr. It combines Intreccio micro stamping, embossing and offset printing, and is embellished with gold and silver Kurz foil.

Plein Fatale is a floral gourmand composed by Alberto Morillas (Firmenich) with notes of blackcurrant, pink pepper, tuberose, ylang-ylang, patchouli and praline.

The 90ml EdP retails for €155.
