Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna is to welcome more than 2,700 exhibitors from 71 countries when it opens its doors from April 28th to May 2nd. On the packaging front, highlights at the Cosmopack portion of the show include CosmoFactory dedicated to “the backstage of the beauty industry” and Cosmopack Awards, rewarding the best in packaging design, formulation and technology.
After a two-year hiatus, Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna is back this spring with a show expected to be on a par with pre-pandemic editions. Some 30% of the 2,700 exhibitors from 71 countries are exhibiting at the event for the first time or returning after an absence, according to show organizer BolognaFiere.
Billed as “one fair, three shows” Cosmopack Worldwide will play host to Cosmopack and Cosmoperfumery & Cosmetics from April 28th to May 1st, while Cosmo Hair & Nail & Beauty Salon will be held from April 29th to May 2nd. The exhibition area will comprise 34 pavilions, including 26 Country pavilions.
“In the last two years, manufacturers and brands have had to look for novel digital ways to present new launches. However, the fair, with its networking and in-depth analysis opportunities, remains an essential experience for developing new projects and building strategies for the future," added Enrico Zannini, General Manager of BolognaFiere Cosmoprof.
The Cosmopack portion of the show will include CosmoFactory, which recreates the manufacturing process of a luxury cosmetics product, from formulation to the consumer experience. Design agency centdegrés is curating this eighth edition of the installation, which is focusing on diversity with Six4all, a product that combines skincare and make-up. Partners include Scandolara for the aluminum-tube primary packaging, Seriplast AT Packaging for the sample size and Gatto Astucci for the secondary packaging.
Curated by trends agency Beautystreams, the Cosmopack Awards recognize the best in formulation, technology and packaging design. An Awards Ceremony announcing the winners will take place on April 29th. Beautystreams is also curating Cosmotalks, a series of seminars focusing on trends, digital innovations and new developments in beauty. And the trend agency’s curated CosmoTrends report is returning this year, looking at future trends and innovations from exhibitors.
Cosmoprof has also increased investment in its Buyer Program, designed to foster links between buyers and suppliers. Cosmoprof Mix and Match, meanwhile, is a “digital matchmaking” platform.
