Colognes Imaginaires is a line of four scents that puts sustainable packaging front and center from the bottle to the secondary pack.
The unisex eaux de parfums are housed in an oval flacon (Coverpla’s Verdi model from Bormioli Luigi’s Ecoline range) featuring lightweighted glass–the glass weight has been reduced by 40%, resulting in 100g of the material for a 100ml bottle. According to Coverpla, this reduces Co2 emissions by an average of 60% throughout the value chain as compared to a plastic or blown or molded glass alternative.
The fragrance pump (Aptar) has a screw-top closure in order to facilitate separability and therefore recycling, while the wooden cap (Codiplas), said to be biodegradable, is made from ash, with a sugar cane-based bioplastic insert.
The FSC-certified paperboard box (b2pack) is sheathed with a protective film that is both compostable and biodegradable.
The fragrance formulas, meanwhile, free from colorants and preservatives, boast natural ingredients and organic alcohol derived from beetroot. Colognes Imaginaires consists of four EdPs: Verbena Crush, Nectar Tonka, Berrie Flash and Cedar Pulp, retailing at €80 for 100ml.
