Deljoy: A new player mixes citrus and cognac

Inspired by its generational savoir faire in cognac, Maison Delpeuch-Joyeux has unveiled its first Cognac and citrus liqueur. The spirit, named Deljoy, is housed in a bottle whose shape evokes its key ingredient - the citrus fruit.

After a decades-long period of inactivity, Cognac-based spirits producer Maison Delpeuch-Joyeux is getting a new lease on life with the launch of Deljoy, its Cognac and citrus liqueur.

The branding and packaging design was carried out by Compair Design Studio, a Cognac-based agency. Housed in a bespoke, heavy based bottle (Vetroelite), the liqueur's golden hue shows through the clear glass. To create the inlaid relief decoration replicating a lemon peel twist, the brand opted for inkjet printing. The brand's logo is engraved on the bottle's facing, while the liqueur’s name and details are applied in four-color screen printing (Domec Packaging).

The neck label in textured paper is printed with selective varnish (Domec Packaging). The bottle is topped with a laser-engraved natural light beechwood stopper with synthetic cork from Amorim’s Top Series collection.

Deljoy liqueur blends Cognac premier cru and a selection of citrus fruits, which imparts a fruity and slightly spicy taste. Launching early July, Deljoy retails for €39.
