Jonathan Mihy, founder and CEO of MR (formerly known as MR Cartonnages Numérique), has been named global head of Diam Pack, the packaging arm of luxury retail and merchandising solutions provider Diam Group, which acquired his business in 2017.
Specialized in premium coffrets and cases, Diam Pack today consists of MR’s three business units: Artworks, Mock Up Lab and Factory as well as Norline Atelier and Diam Asia Thailand.
“The objective is to develop these five segments and continue the consolidation within the Diam Group, as these business units are companies that were acquired within the last three years,” Mihy told Luxe Packaging Insight. “In this way, we are reorienting the strategy towards one of niche packaging, specialized in high-added value sectors, leveraging our expertise and savoir-faire developed as a result of having our own factories.”
Diampack's main markets are perfumes & cosmetics and wines & spirits, but also watches & jewelry.
Mihy replaces Ilan Schinazi, who was named managing director and partner of Salinas International earlier this year.
