Dior and India Mahdavi reinvent J’adore fragrance flacon

Parfums Christian Dior called on architect and designer India Mahdavi to give a new twist to its iconic J’adore fragrance flacon. The limited-edition bottle is handcrafted by Murano master glassmakers Salviati.

Iranian-French architect India Mahdavi reinvented the packaging of Dior’s J’adore perfume for a limited-edition version. The flacons are produced in Venice by Murano master glassmaker Salviati. Polished by hand, the amphora are painted with a “golden thread” running along the glass spiral.

Mahdavi also designed the secondary packaging. The cylindrical, beige-pink box paper has a toile du Marais texture. Adorned with jasmine flowers, it features the brand name at the base.

Just 1,000 of the individually numbered flacons are available. They are filled with J’adore eau de parfum Infinissime, a tuberose-heavy floral scent composed by in-house perfumer François Demachy.
