GPA Global acquires Hub Folding Box

Luxury secondary packaging specialist GPA Global has acquired US-based company Hub Folding Box, a specialist in printing and packaging.

The acquisition will expand GPA’s global manufacturing and establish North America as the cornerstone of its global offerings, the company said.

GPA Global highlighted Hub Folding Box’s focus on sustainability and track record for innovation in retail packaging. Founded more than 100 years ago, it pioneered the VAP pack in the wine and spirits industry. Recent innovations include Liquid Ink Technologies, billed as an alternative to expensive foils.

Together, GPA Global and Hub Folding Box are expected to generate more than $250m in annual revenue.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
