Kate Spade sparkles with second scent

After the launch of Kate Spade New York in early 2021, Interparfums has unveiled its second scent for the US-based fashion brand. Dubbed Kate Spade Sparkle, the fragrance’s packaging sports a navy hue inspired by dusk in New York City.

Kate Spade Sparkle is the second Kate Spade scent from licensee Interparfums. Like its predecessor designed by French agency De Baschmakoff, the EdP comes in a cylindrical flacon (Pochet du Courval). This time, the bottle is lacquered a graded navy blue hue (Nigermat), in a nod to the color of the sky at dusk, and padprinted in gold.

A disc-shaped cap (SAF) featuring three spades on its periphery crowns the bottle. The four-part cap includes a gold metallized top and bottom and a middle band in bi-injected and densified PP to combine weight and aesthetics. Achieving a homogenous surface tension proved challenging, according to the supplier.

For the secondary packaging, the box (Wauters) is made with Iggesund’s Invercote 330g, printed with a graded blue background and blue spade motif. The spades are embossed and finished with a glossy lacquer. The word “Sparkle” is hot-stamped in gold.

Kate Spade Sparkle is a floral gourmand EdP composed by Louise Turner (Givaudan). It combines notes of blackcurrant, pink peppercorn, vanilla crème brulée and oakwood extract.

The fragrance launched this January, priced at €19 for 10ml, €49 for 40ml, €68 for 60ml and €92 for 100ml.
