
Along with the appointment of Nicolas Hieronimus as CEO, L'Oréal plans to split the roles of Chairman and CEO, currently held by Jean-Paul Agon.
Nicolas Hieronimus will replace Agon as CEO from May 2021, while Agon, who has been CEO of the beauty group for 15 years, is set to continue in his role of Chairman.
Hieronimus has been with the group for 33 years, and deputy CEO in charge of divisions since 2017. Barbara Lavernos, who will be head of Research, Innovation, Technology from February next year, will take on the role of Deputy CEO, effective May 1, 2021.
