Lumene calls on Rebhan, Eastman for latest skincare packaging

For its skincare bottle made by packaging supplier Rebhan, Lumene selected Eastman's newest resin made of molecularly recycled content, Cristal One E.

Finnish skincare brand Lumene is aiming for 80% of its packaging to be made of recycled or recyclable materials by the end of 2025. For the packaging of its new skincare launch, a serum-in-moisturizer dubbed Nordic Hydra Birch Dew Jelly, the brand selected a thick-walled extrusion blow molded bottle made using Eastman’s Cristal One E resin. The pack contains 50% molecularly recycled content.
This launch  marks the first time the resin has been used in beauty packaging. Made by supplier Rebhan, the bottle sports a vibrant blue gradient decor.

Cristal One E is the latest resin to join Eastman’s Cristal One portfolio and is specifically designed for extrusion blow molding (EBM). It offers brands “the brilliance and luster of glass with rigid, thick-wall construction for EBM that is not typically achievable with conventional recycled resins,” says Eastman. Cristal One E can be recycled in the PET stream.
