LVMH’s Perfumes & Cosmetics division's production sites are to make hydroalcoholic gel as France faces the risk of a shortage due to the coronavirus crisis.
LVMH said in a statement that from Monday March 16, all the production facilities of its Perfumes & Cosmetics brands (Parfums Givenchy, Parfums Christian Dior and Guerlain) will be producing hydroalcoholic gel in large quantities. The gel will be distributed free of charge to French health authorities and to the Assistance Publique Hôpitaux de Paris (the public health organization serving Paris and the surrounding area).
The luxury-goods group noted that it will produce hand sanitizer for as long as is necessary in a bid to combat the spread of Covid-19.
