Maison Ferrand launches Canerock, a Jamaican spiced rum

A spice-infused rum created by Maison Ferrand, Canerock launched on the thriving rum market last month. Distilled in Jamaica, the brand's packaging pays homage to its origins. This new entrant marks the French company's second foray into the rum category, after Plantation Rum

French fine spirits producer Maison Ferrand's Canerock Jamaican Spiced Rum hit markets last month. The brand opted for a standard 0,7L bottle from Saverglass with personalization in mind: a finishing mold was used to achieve a bespoke wave pattern decorating the bottle’s facing and mouth.

To evoke the spirit of Jamaican beaches, a turtle-shaped talisman made of beechwood (Sonepro) features on the bottle’s facing. A light patina was added to accentuate the beechwood’s natural color. 

The hot stamped label (Domec Packaging) was designed in-house and features turquoise accents on the bottle’s facing and neck. The rum is topped with a natural cork stopper (Les Bouchages Delage) and is devoid of secondary packaging. Available since mid-February, the rum retails for €42.

Canerock joins Maison Ferrand's existing portfolio, which in addition to Plantation Rum, includes Citadelle Gin, Ferrand Cognac, triple sec Dry Curaçao and Mathilde liqueurs.
