French cognac house Maison Peyrat has entrusted Maison Linea with both its brand identity and the packaging design of its debut whisky, Villa N°16.
Villa 16, the inaugural whisky from cognac producer Maison Peyrat, is inspired by the art-deco aesthetic of the villas of Arcachon on France’s Atlantic coast. The brand called on Maison Linea for the design – the French studio previously dreamed up the packaging for Maison Peyrat’s Moko Rum and cognac range.
Villa N°16 is housed in Vetroelite’s L’Origine, a stock bottle with rounded shoulders and a prominent base. On the facing, the label (ADIC) with its geometric typograpy and turquoise and copper accents combines digital printing, gilding and embossing. Pressing is used on almost the entire surface to create a texture designed to recall the ocean’s wavy surface.
The cannister (Spinnler) sports a colorful, contemporary illustration of a seafront villa in the style of an art-deco poster. Consisting of a cardboard cylinder with metal base and lid, the cannister is decorated using four-color printing and copper hotstamping.
