At Paris Packaging Week, Eviosys unveiled a new hot-stamping technique, packaging for the visually impaired and a trend-led collection of ready-to-launch coffrets.
Formed in 2021 after KPS Capital Partners acquired Crown Holdings’ EMEA food and consumer packaging business, metal packaging producer Eviosys is looking to develop in luxury, with a particular focus on beauty. The company showcased holographic hot-stamping on metal at trade fair Paris Packaging Week, and has also developed packaging for the visually impaired.
The hot-stamping technique can create an impression of relief and imitate textures including leather and marble, Eviosys Marketing Director Isabelle Le Graet explains to Luxe Packaging Insight.
The supplier is also working on 'inclusive' packaging with its offer designed for visually impaired consumers. “We invested in a new micro-embossing machine in France, which can be also be used to write on packs in braille,” Le Graet explains. ‘Scan me’ could be micro-embossed in braille as well as a square that surrounds a QR code. When scanned, the QR code could deliver audio content.
As Eviosys produces only bespoke products and pre-assembly decoration, its new MyTin service aims to help customers visualize the dimensions of a product and upload their decor for virtual visualization. The tool is said to cut down on project development times.
Trends collection
Aiming to be “more proactive than reactive”, the supplier teamed up with trends agency Caramel to create a collection showcasing ready-to-launch secondary packaging with different forms and decoration techniques in line with three consumer trends.
The Pebbles collection designed for the Regeneration trend offers tin coffrets in three formats – for fragrances and cosmetics, spirits and confectionery products.
Ingot-shaped coffrets for the Iron Bar product line (“Réindustrie” trend) are designed in three formats. Decoration techniques include creating a hammered or scorched effect.
The Sweet Tooth collection designed around the Simple Pleasures trend consists of a coffret inside a larger coffret enabling the combination of different products.
