Paris inspires Pont des Arts fragrance packaging design

Niche perfumery house Pont des Arts Paris has expanded its perfume portfolio with three new fragrances. Tapping into the architectural richness of Paris, Pont des Arts’ packaging reflects the namesake pedestrian bridge.

The iconic status of Paris’ famed pedestrian bridge was the inspiration behind the name and packaging design of perfume brand Pont des Arts Paris launched in 2017.

The portfolio includes four different ranges: Signature, Sport, Cologne and a new line named Jardin. Two new fragrances - Chukker and On Board – have been added to the Sport range, while Jardin des Avelines is the first scent in the Jardin range. The EdPs come in 50ml and 100ml formats.

The scents are housed in Coverpla’s Senateur stock flacon made by Pochet du Courval. The bottles feature screenprinting on the facing.

A T-shaped, 56g hand-polished zamak cap tops the flacons. Featuring a stylized reproduction of one of the arches of the Pont des Arts bridge, it comes in black, gold and matte or polished metal with the brand’s logo - two inverted ampersands - screenprinted in different colors depending on the fragrance.

In a bid to evoke the book stalls surrounding the Parisian bridge, the secondary packaging is designed to resemble a closed book. Adorned in leather-effect paper (Winter & Company), the cardboard box (Corjet) has a magnetic closure and features a cover page in tracing paper and a black foam insert (Corjet).

Composed by perfumers Bertrand Duchaufour and Vincent Grandjon, the fragrances retail for €150 for 50ml and €250 for 100ml.
