Sophrology meets cosmetics

Sophrology meets cosmetics

New French brand Ressource Corps-Mental is betting on body and mind as it launches into a new segment it is pioneering: sophro-cosmetics.

Founder Claire Millier, a cosmetics industry veteran and certified sophrologist and stress management coach, explains that this new area of research looks to combine “positive mental stimulation” and active cosmetics ingredients, with the idea that getting rid of stress can help improve the skin.

The brand’s first product is a sheet mask, priced at €29. Customers sign up online to access a 20 minute sophrology session, designed to be followed while wearing the mask. Made in France, the bio-cellulose mask comes in a cardboard sleeve made of recycled paper. Millier said that make-up removers will likely be a future area of focus for the brand.
