Cognac-based trade fair VS Pack is set to celebrate the 10th edition of the event specializing in packaging and technological innovation for wines and spirits. Organized by Atlanpack, the biannual event will open its doors for three days on December 3rd with some 94 companies exhibiting on the show floor.
One of the highlights of the 2019 edition of VS Pack will be its conference program, which this year will have a strong focus on new technologies and digital solutions. Here are a few of the sessions not to miss: Closures: a Marketing and Technical Innovation (with the participation of Les Bouchages Delage
, Technicaps and Vinolok); Wine & Spirits Players: How to Communicate on Social Networks, a session presented by an expert in economic legal affairs; Printed Electronics for Intelligent and Active Packaging, which will offer attendees an "immersive experience using virtual reality" designed by papermaker Iggesund and Saralon, expert in printed electronics; and Technological Solutions for Brand Protection, a round table featuring Trustconcept (Kurz), Advanced Track & Trace and Athéor.
The issue of packaging decoration and finishing will also be the subject of two dedicated conferences, in addition to a session led by CD Design founder, Céline Delcourt, on “responsible packaging solutions”.
On the market side, Patrice Pinet, president of the Syndicat des Maisons de Cognac
and Catherine Lebougre, economist at Crédit Agricole bank, will provide insight into the wine and spirits economy in 2020.
VS Pack will hold the fourth edition of its Spiripack competition, which rewards three packaging innovations selected from among those presented on the show floor.
The trade fair will be held at the Parc des Expositions de Cognac from December 3-5. Formes de Luxe
is a press partner of the event.
